Valley move further ahead without even playing!
Have Club given up the chase already? For the second week running they failed to pick up a bonus point against teams at the foot of the division. Saturdays 17-0 victory at home over Cricket Club, with only two tries in the first period and a complete blank-out in the second half, has allowed Valley to open a further one point gap without even donning their boots.
With Kowloon unable to field a team for all manner of reasons, including injuries and illness in the form of swine flu, Valley were awarded a bonus point win that sees them now six clear of Club, with what is virtually an unassailable lead. The only hope Club now have is an increasingly unlikely big away win at Happy Valley on January 23rd.

Cricket Clubs sixth loss of the season and the Rams seventh, at the hands of DeA mean they remain rooted to the foot of the table. The Rams will however be heartened by their ever improving form and their collection of their first point of the season in the narrow loss to DeA.
All in all the 1st division has a very predictable look about it and it would be a huge surprise if there is any change in the standings between now and the season’s end.

In the second division at least there has been some movement. PLA’s unconvincing win over bottom club DeA Tigers II has seen them leap-frog Nomads who crashed 46-22 to Valley Knights. Club II are still unbeaten after soundly thrashing HKCC II, who are shipping an average of 46 points per game.
