Early Nomads rugby history is synonymous with that of the history of the game in the Philippines as a whole.
It is not until 2003, and the formation of Alabang Eagles RFC, that there was any domestic competition, save for internal games at the Nomads club.
Prior to then Nomads played visiting ships of various nationalities and also partook in their favourite activity, touring. Over the years the Nomads have journeyed to just about all of Southeast Asia and have visited the good spots on numerous occasions. They didn’t always play on tour but they did always travel with boots and mouth guards.
The inception of the Manila Tens in 1989 has brought guaranteed visiting teams and its expansion over the ensuing years has made it Asia’s premier social rugby event and a jewel that Nomads is justifiably immensely proud of.
In recent years Nomads have competed locally with success in all variations of the game, and an immense rivalry has developed between the Eagles and Nomads. The club boasts two senior teams, the second being known as the Carabaos, and an extremely vibrant ladies team the Bullettes.
Nomads guarantee any visiting team a good hard game and the best night out in Asia!
