Cricket Club all conquering

Singapore Cricket Club are proving that their pre-season form in the Guinness Cup was no flash in the pan; having already inflicted defeats on all three of their Guinness Premiership rivals within the first nine days of the new season.

Last night they overcame a stubborn Bucks 28-15 and in scoring four tries secured another bonus point. This win, over the only other side to register Premiership points thus far, came right on the back of a comfortable 54-5 victory over last season’s league winners Bedok Kings on Saturday. With fifteen points from three games they are giving all their rivals plenty to think about.

Bucks had recorded a handy 34-17 win over Wanderers last weekend and at this early stage seem likely to be the only potential problem for the rampant Cricket Club.

In the Guinness Championship three teams remain unbeaten after the second round of games. SCC Tankards comfortably saw off Bedok Kings 2nds and there were also wins for Bucks Vandals and SCC 3rds.

SCC Growlers gave Cricket Club a weekend to remember with a 4th  club win and Wanderers 3rds, who had been vanquished by the Growlers in round 1 saw off the challenge of Bucks Stags.
