Over the weekend of August 28th-30th the Sisowath Knights from Phnom Penh made a landmark tour to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam where they took on the Saigon Geckos in a 15-a-side match at the RMIT University Field.

Welcome to Rugby in Vietnam. Although Vietnam does not have an official rugby federation as yet the sport is played in both of the major cities, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

The majority of participants at senior level are expatriates, but there are programmes in schools and through charitable organizations which are actively promoting rugby to the youth of Vietnam.
